The Center of Research, Creativity and Innovation (CRCI) is an initiative of the Child Care and Youth Empowerment Foundation (CCAYEF). We exist to make sure that good ideas are heard, tested, documented and turned into lasting impact.
Giving ideas a listening ear and a practical ground
Across schools and universities, young people learn a great deal but rarely get the space to put ideas into practice, do research, or have their creativity taken seriously. CRCI closes that gap.
We enhance the outcomes of science and creative work, support teachers and researchers to document and publish, elicit innovation from communities, and connect the people who can take ideas further — from universities and health centres to government and industry.

Secondary Schools — Science Departments
Young people learn under tight programs that rarely let them practise, research or share creative ideas. We enhance science department outputs — laboratory work, science and cultural subjects — and support teachers to write up, disseminate, publish and accelerate innovation.
Universities — Students, Lecturers & Faculties
Many university students lack mentorship and practical grounds to apply their knowledge. We offer collaborative research, research support, patent reservation, promotion and publication, documentation, and supervision of research students.
Health Centres, Hospitals & Schools of Health Sciences
Health centres in Uganda rarely document peculiar medical issues and how such cases are managed. We help identify, define and circulate these issues to build awareness and drive advocacy — through documentation, research collaboration and innovation.
Ministries, Government & Incubation Centres
Partnerships with the Ministry of Science and Innovation, agricultural institutions, line ministries and incubation centres — for supplies, grants, technical support, technology, policy support and replication.
Industry — Namanve Industrial Park
Connecting young innovators to factories for internships and exposure visits, bridging the gap between ideas and industry.
